So here we are...half way through the year and right in the middle of a HOT golf season!
So did the heat get to Jim Furyk during the final round of the U.S. Open at Olympic? Or did Webb just stay cool as a new kid can? How does Jim-bo yank a Hybrid into the trees on a three shot par 5? Aargh...guess I was rootin' for the 'ole guy. Want be when we're fellow Champions Tour participants. Hey, a golfer can dream.
How does Tiger fall apart after looking like he laid down the gauntlet the first two rounds to only become human again...? It all starts to make for a wide open "Open" again considering no one has dominated at the majors...except for maybe the Irish clan of Grame and Rory, and their buddy Darren was a nice win, too.

Happy Golf Season 2012!
Tonight is the Season 8 first episode of Golf Fitness Academy. Titleist Performance Institute co-founders, Dr. Greg Rose and Dave Phillips, PGA Teaching Pro, will host the show each week with fitness professionals and PGA Tour golfers to go over Golf Fitness!
Showtime is 530pm EDT or 430pm CDT.

2012...Time to get on the ball for Golf Fitness!
Nothing like St. Louis weather to kill a golf game. Theres been a couple days worthy of play. I didn't see anyone at Kapalua...so I guess we all have some room for improvement in our own games!
Now is a great time to strart a golf fitness program focused on stretching and strength training. Without basic flexibility and strength, your joints...specially the knees, hips, low back and shoulders will pay the price later.

You should be doing at least 3 major moves to get your body ready.
Try these moves for basic off season training...
1. Body Weight Squats.
2. Torso Rotations.
3. Shoulder Circles.
If you are not familiar with these moves give me a call and I can help explain or email pictures. If you have had any knee, hip, back or shoulder pain in the past your are in extra need of the basic motions to help you avoid injury.
Let me know if you'd like to go over the basics and get back on to a routine.

PGA Championship Week!
Adam Scott is looking tough going into the PGA fresh off his win at Firestone, with who on the bag, Stevie! Wasn't Adam the ones who modeled his swing after el Tigre? Who was only 18 shots back of Scott. So does a FIT Adam Scott play to a higher level with the wisdom and security of a proven "Looper". Only time will tell.
